{"path":"research/corpus-graph/readers/2026-10-11-pilot-open-question-four-notes-as-a-haiku-reader-returned-it.md","content":"# What a Haiku 5.5 reader would tell the founder about four notes (pilot, the open question) (2026-10-11)\n\nA read-only reader on Haiku 5.5 at high effort, started through the command-line tool with no settings\nloaded, with the tools to read and to search files and no shell. It is part of the pilot described in\n[../reading-for-every-kind-of-insight.md](../reading-for-every-kind-of-insight.md) § 7 and of the test in\n[../haiku-5-5-for-the-filling.md](../haiku-5-5-for-the-filling.md) § 6. It was given the brief in\n[../open-reading-brief.md](../open-reading-brief.md), everything the founder has settled in one file, and these 4 notes:\n\n- `docs/depth.md`\n- `docs/bridging.md`\n- `docs/worldview-lenses.md`\n- `docs/research/the-load-bearing-unsaid.md`\n\nIt took 53 steps and under eight minutes. Its report is below, unchanged. **Its first five remarks and the start of the sixth are\nlost**: the reader wrote its report in two messages, and the tool was run in the mode that returns only the\nlast one. The next run of a reader through the tool has to keep every message. What was kept from it, after the quoted\nwords were checked by code and both passages of each finding were opened, is in `../found.jsonl` (lines\nwhose `where` names this file).\n\n---\n\n### O6 (continued)\nrests_on: docs/research/writing-out-the-unwritten.md:571 \"Every link is written out in one form: the first claim, what ties this case to a rule\"\nrests_on: TODO.md:1079 \"is writing every link out, with the writing checked, what he asked for\"\nremark: The depth page, dated 2026-10-08, states the aim as a link's step being \"written out when someone asks, never that all of them are.\" The day before, the founder asked for all implicit premises to be \"explicated and exposed and scaffolded automagically.\" The open proposal that would write every link out (AD13) awaits his ruling, and TODO records his direction on it as pending. A public page therefore states as the aim an option he has not chosen.\nso: He should rule AD13 before this sentence stays public as the aim, or the page will have settled the question for him.\nsure: yes. I read the four sources and checked the dates and wording of each quote.\n\n### O7\nrests_on: docs/worldview-lenses.md:11 \"This is not a feature. It is the core interaction mode, and it has been part of the vision since before 2011.\"\nrests_on: TODO.md:2911 \"the return edge is testable in the first workshop and the lens is not\"\nrests_on: TODO.md:1640 \"build the return edge first, the lens second\"\nrests_on: docs/worldview-lenses.md:52 \"Both are on the table; neither has won.\"\nremark: The lens page calls the lens \"not a feature\" and \"the core interaction mode,\" and presents it as the hook no predecessor offered. The project's own plan puts it second: TODO says to build the return edge first and not to lead with the lens. The lens page itself says neither proposal for finding a visitor's lens has won. No worldview or lens code exists in deliberus/. The public site lists \"Lenses\" as a concept, so visitors meet a deferred feature described as the core.\nso: He should decide whether the lens is described as core or as planned second, since the page and the build order currently disagree.\nsure: yes for the plan and the absence of code, which I checked by search; fairly for the reading of what visitors see.\n\n### O8\nrests_on: docs/worldview-lenses.md:19 \"with the software as the lens that bends the light\"\nrests_on: docs/worldview-lenses.md:102 \"The answer that emerged from the error-taxonomy work is that the interface is not the instrument\"\nrests_on: docs/civilizational-vision.md:26 \"the software is the lens, and what it does is bend the light\"\nremark: The lens page's outward copy says the software is the lens that bends the light, a sharpening the founder approved on 2026-09-16. Further down, the same page says the interface is not the instrument and another person is, and that the lens grants no transcendence. The copy tells visitors the software does the seeing, which the page's own August finding rejects. Both cannot be the public position.\nso: He should choose whether the software is the lens or only the place where a person's view is held, and fix the copy to match.\nsure: yes. I read the quoted lines and the approval attribution in civilizational-vision.md.\n\n### O9\nrests_on: docs/worldview-lenses.md:46 \"From inside their worldview, their conclusions make sense\"\nrests_on: docs/worldview-lenses.md:104 \"A lens weighs which likenesses count, and the weighing partly follows the conclusion wanted\"\nremark: The rose-tinted section promises that from inside another worldview, their conclusions make sense. The note's own 2026-10-08 paragraph says the weighing of likenesses partly follows the conclusion wanted, and cites a study where precedents seemed more alike when their outcome suited the reader's view, with legal training no protection. If weights bend toward conclusions, a lens that renders a view coherently shows chosen weights as integrity. The page has the evidence against its central promise and does not reconcile them.\nso: He should decide whether the lens shows the weights as an inspectable dial, since a coherent rendering alone cannot tell integrity from a motivated weighting.\nsure: fairly. I read the section and the 2026-10-08 paragraph in full.\n\n### O10\nrests_on: docs/bridging.md:56 \"Where disagreement is high (50/50 vote split on the conclusion) BUT QBAF strength is also high\"\nrests_on: deliberus/feed.py:358 \"WITH c, COUNT(DISTINCT agree) AS agrees, COUNT(DISTINCT disagree) AS disagrees\"\nrests_on: deliberus/feed.py:365 \"WITH c, agrees, disagrees, total, agree_ratio, AVG(r.strength) AS avg_strength,\"\nrests_on: docs/research/relevance-in-the-corpus-sweep.md:116 \"The stored machine number is renamed, given a rubric, and left blank wherever no machine judged the link\"\nrests_on: docs/research/what-confirmed-means.md:8 \"just like the whole thing with voting etc\"\nremark: The bridging score multiplies a vote split by the average of the stored link number. The feed counts claims with two or more votes, so one agree and one disagree already gives the maximum disagreement factor. The quality term is the stored number. The sweep note describes a computed reading as the replacement, and the feed still reads the stored number. The bridging note calls closing this gap a founder decision, and the founder has also questioned voting as a signal.\nso: He should decide whether the bridging feed waits for the computed reading and a larger vote minimum, since its top currently can rest on two votes.\nsure: yes for the code reading, which I checked in feed.py; fairly for the status of the replacement.\n\n### O11\nrests_on: docs/depth.md:112 \"but it is inert until someone records the interpretation\"\nrests_on: docs/depth.md:120 \"its default was neutral until the 2026-08-31 padding ruling deliberately made untagged decomposition parts weakest-part-governed\"\nrests_on: docs/bridging.md:67 \"which makes it a founder decision rather than a repair; it is recorded in\"\nremark: Two statements in these notes were overtaken and not updated. The depth page calls the necessary-default fix \"inert until someone records the interpretation,\" yet a later paragraph of the same page says the default was changed on 2026-08-31. The bridging page calls the strength question a pending founder decision, though the founder has since accepted the replacement. When a ruling lands, the code and canon move and the public explanation does not.\nso: He should have each public explanation re-checked when its ruling lands, or dated, so a visitor is not told an answered question is still open.\nsure: yes. Both contradictions are inside the notes and need no code to confirm.\n\n### O12\nrests_on: docs/research/the-load-bearing-unsaid.md:35 \"and why implicit-premise recall is already this project's most important quality axis\"\nrests_on: docs/research/dogfood-run-6-israel-palestine-cross-domain.md:274 \"The comparison protocol from run 3F still cannot execute, and this run sharpens what it should measure\"\nremark: The load note says implicit-premise recall is already the project's most important quality axis. The evidence I found is one debate pair in run 6, where a premise its author never wrote outranked his stated claims, and that run's note says the registered comparison protocol still cannot execute. Several other notes repeat the \"most important axis\" line by citing that case. The axis is a hypothesis the corpus has not measured.\nso: He should run the registered protocol, or date the claim as a hypothesis, before it is cited as the project's main quality measure.\nsure: fairly. I searched the notes and TODO and found no measured result.\n\n### O13\nrests_on: docs/research/the-load-bearing-unsaid.md:71 \"Making the unsaid explicit redistributes advantage, and the people whose doxa is being converted rarely experience it as help\"\nrests_on: TODO.md:3202 \"the conversion is political, and the people whose doxa is being converted rarely experience it as help\"\nremark: The load note's warning is that making the unsaid explicit is political and redistributes advantage away from the people whose doxa is converted. I found no ruling or build item that answers it. TODO carries it only as a positioning note, which also marks the Bourdieu and Brandom citations as missing even though this note supplies them.\nso: He should decide whether the warning becomes a design gate or a stated caveat on the page, since it is currently neither.\nsure: fairly. I searched the settled items, TODO, and the code for any response.\n\nLooked for and did not find: a worldview or lens implementation in deliberus/; a ruling or decision that settles hinges as nodes; any read of the sacred marker in deliberus/extraction/; a measured result for implicit-premise recall; a source beyond the public pages for \"shared a room while being shot at\" or the Fishkin \"~70%\" figure.\n"}
